Undergraduate Admissions

Freshmen admission

Freshmen admission to the McClure School is based on

  • high school class rank,
  • test scores,
  • professional activities, and
  • availability of openings in the school.

Any student admitted to Ohio University is eligible to enter the McClure School as an ITS major (major code BC5329). For information and to apply, go to the Ohio University Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Transferring to ITS from another major

The McClure School welcomes students who switch majors to ITS. You may apply for a transfer at any time.

Transfer admission to the school depends on

  • GPA (minimum 2.5) and
  • availability of openings in the school.

You must submit the following forms to transfer into the McClure School:

  • ITS Transfer Form
  • Application for Update of Academic Program(s)
  • Current DARS or transcript

Both application forms are available at the school office at 360 Schoonover Center. View and print your current DARS here using your OHIO ID and password.

Please feel free to contact the undergraduate director, Dr. Hans Kruse, with questions and concerns. He will be happy to speak to you about the program and your specific needs.
